This week we focus on how human endevaors can turn beastly when we don't acknowledge the way of God.

Next Monday I am leaving for Pacific Northwest Annual Conference in Spokane.  Starting on Thursday of this week I will be attending Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference online.  As a member of Oregon-Idaho and a clergy person appointed in Pacific Northwest I am required to attend both sessions.  That is a lot of church bureaucracy in two weeks! It is also a lovely time to connect with colleagues, learn from others, and celebrate God at work through the wider United Methodist Church.  I will still be working while I am attending conference, but especially next week I will be less available as I will be in sessions much of the day.  I will be checking email and responding to texts.  Bev Thomas and Kristi Griffin are our lay folks attending Pacific Northwest on behalf of our church.  We will have a time later this summer for the 3 of us to share in worship about the happenings at conference.
